This project aims to improve forage grass productivity through innovative breeding techniques that address genetic challenges in hybrid seed production. It focuses on enhancing traits related to self-compatibility and hybrid vigor in perennial ryegrass.
Grassland is a key component of a diverse but productive European agroecosystem and contributes to sustainable feed and food production worldwide.
