RENOME focuses on understanding the organization of chromatin within the cell nucleus and its implications for gene regulation and disease. The project aims to develop tools for real-time study of chromatin dynamics and to explore the relationship between nuclear organization and cellular behavior.
The content of the cell nucleus is highly organized at different levels.
Chromatin is partitioned into domains that carry different post-translational histone modifications, and it exhibits a multiscale structural organization from small loops to large compartments.
