REMOCEAN focuses on improving the understanding of carbon fluxes in the ocean by utilizing advanced observational techniques. The project aims to develop profiling floats for automated data collection in key ocean areas to enhance knowledge of biogeochemical cycles and carbon dynamics.
In the context of global change and ocean response to climatic and anthropogenic forcing, it is critical to improve our understanding of biologically mediated carbon fluxes and to reduce the uncertainties in their estimates.
