This project focuses on designing and manufacturing composite materials embedded with fiber optic sensors for real-time health monitoring. It aims to assess the reliability of these sensors and optimize their integration into carbon fiber reinforced plastics for effective strain and temperature detection.
The objective of this activity is to design and manufacture composite specimens integrating fibre optic sensors, evaluate the reliability of the sensors, develop a concept to evaluate the system reliability and define a design of experiments of sensorized structures.
