The REJUVIMMUNE project focuses on rejuvenating hematopoietic stem cells to combat aging-related decline in blood tissue regeneration. It explores the effects of partial reprogramming on blood cells and aims to enhance health span through innovative mRNA therapeutics.
Aging is a complex process, encompassing the decline numerous cell types and organs.
In this regard, recent progress suggests that the hematopoietic system is particularly influential; as we age, hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) preferentially differentiate toward the myeloid lineage, thus losing their ability to regenerate fully functional blood tissue.
