This research project investigates the roles of regularity and irregularity in combinatorics and number theory. It aims to demonstrate the existence of specific configurations in arbitrary sets of numbers or points, using deterministic and probabilistic methods.
Regularity and irregularity plays a central role in mathematics.
In the present research proposal we will select problems from combinatorics and number theory (including additive combinatorics), where regularity and irregularity appear.
