This project aims to create innovative communication devices that utilize bio-inspired mechanisms in chemical systems. By employing dynamic foldamers, the project seeks to translate information encoded in hydrogen bonding patterns into specific chemical features, mimicking biological processes.
We propose to develop a new, artificial but bio-inspired mechanism for communicating information in chemical systems, by using the potential for hydrogen-bond reorganisation of novel dynamic 'refoldable foldamers', combined with biology's information storage mechanisms.
