This research focuses on understanding the self-organization of immune receptors in B- and T-cells in response to pathogens. By analyzing data from zebrafish and humans, it aims to uncover the principles governing immune recognition at both molecular and evolutionary levels.
Receptor proteins on the surfaces of B- and T-cells interact with pathogens, recognize them and initiate an immune response.
