This research investigates the language development of heritage speakers, particularly returnees who transition from a foreign language environment back to their native language. It aims to understand the factors influencing their bilingual outcomes and improve educational strategies for heritage language acquisition.
Many (immigrant) children are heritage speakers (HSs; bilinguals who acquire a minority language at home, different from the majority societal language in which they are growing up).
