This project evaluates the effectiveness of reemployment programs for displaced workers during high unemployment periods in Florida and Nevada. It aims to identify strategies that improve job placement outcomes and reduce reliance on unemployment benefits.
This 2-year project will examine the efficacy of reemployment programs in helping displaced workers find jobs and improve their labour market outcomes during periods of high unemployment.
For this purpose, we will examine the effectiveness of reemployment programs implemented by two US states, Florida and Nevada, from 2009 through 2010, a period of high unemployment.
