The Re-road project aims to improve the recycling of asphalt materials used in European roads. It focuses on increasing the reuse rate of reclaimed asphalt to 99% while minimizing the need for new materials, addressing both technical and environmental challenges.
The majority of the European roads are paved with asphalt material.
The dismantling and end of life strategies for these pavements are very divergent among the EU member states and the associated countries.
