RAINDROPS investigates ancient water management practices in drylands to enhance human resilience to arid conditions. By analyzing archaeological plant remains, the project aims to identify successful rain-fed cultivation systems and their historical significance for agriculture and adaptation.
RAINDROPS will investigate cultivation practices that support human resilience and adaptation in drylands, by developing an innovative and reliable methodology for the identification of water management practices from archaeobotanical remains.
