This project investigates radiation damage in materials used in nuclear reactors, focusing on developing predictive tools for understanding how different interfaces affect material failure. It aims to enhance the safety and longevity of reactor materials through advanced modeling techniques.
Radiation damage is known to lead to materials failure and thus is of critical importance to lifetime and safety within nuclear reactors.
While materials mechanical behavior under irradiation has been subject to numerous studies, the current predictive capabilities appear limited.
