This project explores quantum optics by simulating strong coupling between quantum emitters and their environment using ultracold strontium atoms in optical lattices. It aims to engineer many-body quantum systems with unique properties for applications in precision measurements and quantum computing.
Quantum optics describes the emission and absorption of radiation by quantum systems.
