This project explores the interaction of light with quantum materials on extremely short timescales, aiming to control electronic properties and enhance information processing speeds. By combining attosecond laser technology with quantum materials, it seeks to enable faster and more efficient electronic devices.
The feasibility to sculpt light oscillations on the attosecond (10-18s) timescale has allowed sub-laser-cycle monitoring and control of electron dynamics in gas phase.
