This project focuses on Tensor Network States, a method for accurately modeling complex quantum systems. Tensor Network States (TNS) are a class of variational wave functions whose number of parameters can be increased systematically in order to improve the accuracy of the approximation.
In effectively one dimensional systems, such as certain magnetic insulators, TNS reproduce the macroscopic properties of the ground state by 1 part in 10 million.
