This project investigates the Quark-Gluon Plasma, a state of matter formed at extremely high energies, using heavy-ion collisions. It aims to measure the flow of particles produced in these collisions to better understand the properties of nuclear matter and the conditions under which the Quark-Gluon Plasma forms.
The primary objective of this project is to explore the properties of a new state of matter, the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP), at the highest energies to date.
The QGP consists of asymptotically free quarks and gluons and the evidence for its discovery was announced in experiments analyzing collisions of heavy ions.
