This project investigates the strong force through Quantum Chromodynamics by studying the Quark Gluon Plasma formed in high-energy heavy-ion collisions. It aims to answer fundamental questions about the properties and behavior of nuclear matter, particularly in relation to the early universe's evolution.
Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is the theory of the strong force.
Its high-temperature phase can be accessed experimentally via high energy heavy-ion collisions, allowing us to investigate how the macroscopic properties of nuclear matter arise from QCD interactions between quarks and gluons.
