This project aims to discover a specific inhibitor for the ATIC enzyme involved in cancer metabolism. By developing new peptide-like compounds, researchers will assess their effectiveness in cancer cell lines, contributing to better diagnosis and treatment options.
According to the WHO, in 2022, there were an estimated 20 million new cancer cases and 9.7 million deaths.
