This project analyzes the efforts of Spanish New Municipalist parties to enact progressive changes in urban governance from 2015 to 2019. It examines the dynamics of urban regime change and the impact of these movements on local democracy and sustainability.
The Politics of Urban Regime Contestation provides the first systematic assessment of attempts by Spanish New Municipalist movement-parties to consolidate progressive urban regime change between 2015 and 2019.
