PROteINSECT aims to promote the use of insects as a sustainable protein source for animal and human nutrition. The project focuses on optimizing insect rearing and evaluating the safety and quality of insect-derived proteins in feed and food.

Within the overall increased demand for food, and particularly meat production, there is also an urgent need to increase supply of protein from sustainable sources.
