This project focuses on developing novel peptidomimetic agents that specifically inhibit the Wnt signaling pathway by targeting the beta-catenin protein. This approach aims to create targeted therapies for colorectal cancer, particularly for cases that are resistant to conventional treatments.
With more than 1.9 million new cases and 935,000 related deaths in 2020, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer in men and the second in women.
