The PRIMERS project explores the origins of human innovation by studying tool-making behaviors in primates. It aims to identify cognitive and environmental factors that led to the development of sharp stone tools, providing insights into the evolution of human culture.
A hallmark of human culture is our unsurpassed innovative ability, which allowed us to expand into almost all environments on the planet and build the cultural world we inhabit today.
