This research investigates cognitive control mechanisms in the brain, focusing on the interactions between the prefrontal cortex and anterior cingulate cortex. By inactivating these regions in macaque monkeys, the project aims to uncover how neurotransmitters like dopamine influence cognitive flexibility and behavior.
