The PRCretro project explores the role of Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 in plant signaling processes. It aims to understand how this complex influences gene regulation and communication between roots and shoots, contributing to our knowledge of plant development.
Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 (PRC2), as one of the most well-described Polycomb group (PcG) complexes, catalyzes the trimethylation of histone H3 lysine 27 (H3K27me3) and represses transcription of target genes.
