This project investigates the mechanisms of cell death and survival in tissues, focusing on the role of specific proteins in regulating apoptosis. It aims to uncover the factors that determine cell fate during development and their implications for health.
Epithelial cell death is widespread during development and tissue homeostasis.
While the core pathway of apoptosis is well known, we lack predictive power to understand when and where a specific cell will die in a tissue.
