This project focuses on developing Discoidal Polymeric Nanoconstructs for targeted delivery of therapeutic agents and imaging in cancer treatment. By optimizing their size, shape, and surface properties, the aim is to enhance drug accumulation in tumors and minimize side effects.
Despite significant advances in chemotherapy, the effective treatment of malignant masses via systemically injectable agents are still limited by insufficient accumulation at the biological target (<< 10% injected dose per gram tumor) and
