The POT.PUDIN project investigates ancient culinary practices through the analysis of ceramic vessels. By employing various scientific techniques, it aims to understand the dietary habits of societies from the Chalcolithic period, particularly focusing on pottery from the Los Millares site in Spain.
POT.PUDIN aims to analyse the use of ceramic vessels to trace culinary practices and the ingredients used in ancient societies.
The project proposes a multi-proxy approach that combines morphological and typological analysis, traceology, and botanical and biomolecular techniques.
Initially, a workflow will be developed to maximise the effectiveness of these methods and ensure their feasibility.
