This project investigates how cells adjust their membrane composition in response to their environment, focusing on the role of Focal Adhesion Kinase. It aims to understand the mechanisms behind these changes and their implications for cell behavior and infection.
The aim of this project is to uncover a novel regulatory mechanism that explains how cells change their membrane lipid composition and trafficking as a function of population context, and how that is used to adapt the cell’s physiology to its microenvironment.
