This project focuses on creating advanced biomaterials for bone tissue engineering. It aims to develop a nanohybrid scaffold that mimics the extracellular matrix, promoting bone regeneration through controlled release of biological molecules and enhancing cell-material interactions.
The development of new biomaterials in bone tissue engineering requires an interdisciplinary joint-venture combining material and biomedical sciences.
The aim of the regenerative biomaterial is to repair the functional defect or damages by generation of a bone substitute.
The biomaterial has to be highly engineered at the molecular level to mimic the function of the extracellular matrix including complex cell-material interactions and physical properties of the scaffold.
