The project focuses on developing self-healing thermoplastic polymers that can autonomously repair themselves. By enhancing the mechanical properties and self-healing capabilities, these materials aim to improve safety and durability in various applications, particularly in coatings.
Modern society demands for materials that are reliable, for safety reasons, durable, to offer prolonged service lifetimes, and cost- and energy-efficient, to preserve natural resources and produce minimum waste and environmental impact.
