This project investigates the effectiveness of political lotteries in enhancing citizen participation and reducing polarization in decision-making. By analyzing historical and contemporary examples, it aims to understand how random selection can improve representation and deliberation in democratic processes.
Political lotteries randomly select individuals to take a political decision.
Recently, lotteries have put citizens together to find solutions to todays contentious, polarizing issues, such as disaffection, abortion reform, and climate change.

Lotteries equalise opportunity of access to all.
