This project explores the historical significance of clothing inventions over 200 years, examining how they reflect social and political changes. By analyzing clothing patents, it aims to uncover alternative citizenship narratives and the role of inventors in shaping identity and belonging.

Clothing is directly connected to social life and the political world and as such is central to ideas around the politics of identity, participation and belonging.
