This research examines the political use of autobiographical narratives in Italy, particularly by the Communist Party and feminist movements after World War II. It aims to uncover how self-narration has influenced political activism and cultural identity.
Self-narration is extraordinarily common in contemporary culture.
The practice constitutes an extremely popular literary genre, is widespread on the internet in the form of diaries updated daily by huge numbers of web users, and is used in organisational training and as a tool in personal therapy education.
