The Policy Compass project seeks to enhance transparency in policy evaluation by developing a user-friendly tool that allows citizens and officials to create and discuss causal models based on open data. It aims to empower better assessment of government policies.
The main goal of the project is to develop a research prototype of an easy-to-use, highly visual and intuitive tool for social networks and e-participation platforms, called the Policy Compass, enabling citizens and public officials to easily create, apply, share, embed, annotate and discuss causal models, charts and graphs of historical data from trusted open data sources.
