The POLEVPOP project investigates how politicians assess public opinion and how these evaluations influence their policy decisions. By analyzing responses across eight countries, it aims to understand the criteria used by politicians to gauge public sentiment and the subsequent impact on their actions.
In democracies, policies are expected to be responsive to public opinion.
