PLUMES investigates how sub-glacial melt-water from Greenland and the Antarctic Peninsula influences ocean circulation and ecosystems due to global warming. It focuses on quantifying sediment input from glacial melt-water and modeling its effects on ocean dynamics and biological cycles during de-glaciation events.
