PLATO investigates the legitimacy of the European Union in the context of contemporary political challenges. The project aims to develop new theoretical frameworks for understanding legitimacy crises in non-state political systems, training researchers to address these complex issues.
Is there a crisis in the legitimacy of the European Union?
That research question is timely and important.
Investigating it is also an ideal way of training research leaders of tomorrow to rethink our assumptions about the study of legitimate political order.
