This project explores the role of acoustic communication in plants, investigating how they respond to sounds and emit their own. It aims to understand the implications of these interactions for plant behavior and potential applications in agriculture.
The communication of plants with their environment is crucial for their survival.
Plants are known to uselight, odours, and touch to communicate with other plants, with pollinators, seed dispersers and herbivores.However, one sensory modality acoustic communication is almost unexplored in plants, despite itspotential adaptive value.
