The PlaGE project explores the role of theatrical practices in migration, focusing on reception centers in Italy and Morocco. It aims to analyze how intercultural performances impact migrants and local communities, using qualitative methods and performance analysis to generate insights applicable across Europe.
The PlaGE project will be the first research to investigate the use of theatrical practices at the very core of the migration process: the transit-phase in the Reception centres of the Mediterranean migratory route.
It will map and analyse the emerging presence of intercultural performative practices at the thresholds of Europe, focusing on four case studies in two crucial countries:
Italy (which hosts the majority of the Reception Centres) and Morocco (a main EU partner in Reception policies).…
