The PJ04-W2 project aims to enhance the operational efficiency of European airports by developing tools and procedures for better flight punctuality and environmental management. It focuses on integrating airport operations with network management.
The need for European airports to become more operationally efficient is fundamental as Airport Council International forecasts that passenger numbers across the continent will rise an average of 3.3% per annum to reach 3.9 billion by 2036.
