This research explores the phenomenon of flocking, where groups of animals move collectively without a leader. It aims to understand how these groups respond to disturbances, focusing on the mechanisms of information sharing and the dynamics of collective behavior in various species.
Flocking, the collective motion displayed by large groups of birds in the absence of a leader, is one of the most spectacular examples of emergent collective behavior in nature.
