This project studies the decay modes of the tau lepton using Resonance Chiral Perturbation Theory to enhance the Monte Carlo generator TAUOLA. The results will facilitate testing the Standard Model and extracting fundamental parameters related to strong interactions.
The goal of the project is to study hadronic decay modes of the tau lepton in the Resonance Chiral Perturbation Theory, use these results to improve their description in the Monte Carlo generator TAUOLA and make thereby possible an adequate analysis of the large data samples of tau lepton decays collected at the B factories.
