PhotoNow focuses on advancing solar-cell technology through the bulk photovoltaic effect, which converts light into electricity. The project aims to develop a new computational method for predicting material properties, enabling the discovery of highly efficient materials for next-generation photovoltaics.
A central focus of leading investigations, the bulk photovoltaic effect is a nonlinear absorption process that converts light into electrical current intrinsically.
