This project focuses on understanding how intracellular pathogens like Mycobacteria and Salmonella affect phagosome trafficking in host cells. By employing a systems biology approach, it aims to develop mathematical models to enhance the clearance of these pathogens by immune cells.
To address the question of how intracellular pathogens modulate phagosome trafficking in the host cell we propose to use a systems biology approach, using an iterative cycle of experimental data, model, new experimental data, improved model.
