Abalonyx's perGOla project aims to make reduced graphene oxide (rGO) more accessible by lowering production costs and increasing output. The project focuses on developing an automated manufacturing process to meet the growing demand for graphene derivatives in various industries.
Despite its unique properties, graphene is relatively chemically inert, but its derivatives, graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) are much more reactive and attractive for industrial applications. rGO bears some remnant oxygen groups and holes that allow the possibility of functionalisation.
