The PERFECTION project aims to establish a Department of Chemical Biology at the Institute of Physical Chemistry in Poland. It focuses on developing novel compounds for disease targeting and enhancing drug design, particularly through the use of modified peptides with unnatural amino acids.
PERFECTION foresees launching the Department of Chemical Biology for Biological & Medical Applications (DCB) at the Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS (IChF) by Prof Marcin Drg (ERA Chair holder, ECh), an excellent biological chemist with expertise in combinatorial chemistry of proteolytic enzymes and their applications.IChF is renowned for its methods of measuring and analysing physical, chemical and biological systems.
