The PENELOPE project examines the influence of ancient textile technology on the development of scientific thought in Greece. It seeks to understand weaving as a metaphor for technological integration and its implications for modern digital systems.
The PENELOPE project builds on the hypothesis that there was a significant but tacit contribution of textile technology involved in the advent of science in ancient Greece.
