This project explores the history of horse domestication using ancient DNA analysis. It aims to understand the genetic and management changes that shaped horse breeds over 5,500 years, revealing how horses influenced human society and agriculture.
The horse provided us with rapid transportation, an almost unrivaled secondary product that tremendously impacted the politico-economical trajectory of our societies, revolutionizing the circulation of ideas, people, languages, religions and communication.
