This project investigates how bacteria adapt their protein composition in response to infection. Using advanced mass spectrometry techniques, it aims to profile the proteins of pathogens directly from infected patients, enhancing our understanding of bacterial behavior and disease severity.
Bacterial infections represent a major and global health problem, which is further aggravated by the rapid and ongoing increase in antibiotic resistance.
